Housekeeping

Please know that I am doing better. I have nothing to say right now, but I am in the mood for a funny story, so I will think about doing my lung biopsy story this weekend. So, for now, I am going to do a couple housekeeping items. Apparently, my blog community has become its own entity and a few people have asked me about Patrick (my old boss from Childhaven) and "My unmet friend." Patrick is doing fine. He hasn't posted in a while, but he has emailed me. His posts are always very popular, but even the best of men need time off once in a while. Second, "My unmet friend" is actually that. I have never met this person, but always welcome her posts. She is someone I have enjoyed getting to know. I know that she has not posted in a while. I, too, am hopeful that she is well just busy with her life. So, let's hope for the positive and not worry. If she is reading, we hope you are well, m'dear!!!! I heard a cancer patient once say, "There is a lot in the world to think about, but nothing much to worry about." Take care, Ang

I am so touched. Here, I go tonight to check the blog and you are talking about me. Please know I read and check the blog everyday. I pray for you and your family every morning.
Your blog is on my "favorites" at home and at work. And yes, you do have a "blog family". Most of the time I feel inadequate to respond to you. You have so many close friends that inspire you and inspire all of us. The other day I was having a rough time at work. I was in tears and checked your blog. It always brings me back to reality. I have NOTHING to feel stressed about in comparison to your challenges. But you face them with with dignity, humor and you are the best mother ever!! It seems like I'm always the "frazzled" mother. I still get what I call the "mother sweats" and my kids are 9 and 12. Sometimes when I'm at my wits end and I'm dreaming of Cosmopolitans I think "What would Angie do?". Isn't that funny? It's like the saying, What would Jesus do? but I'm thinking "What would my friend Angie (who I haven't met yet) do in this situation? example: She would tell the checker off!! Make best friends with the Dr!! and laugh in the midst of adversity.
So here's to you my unmet friend, I raise my cosmo to you!! We WILL meet one day and I look forward to that.
Now, back to the frazzled life...helping with homework, picking up my son from football and starting his homework, trying to get the darn eye drops in my Basset Hounds goopy eyes and start making dinner.
Much love and prayers from your Unmet friend.

Dear Angela, How sweet you are to make excuses for me and my poor behavior lately. Yes I have been indulging in that worst of all self indulgences, personal pity, or just P.P. for short. The window through which I view the world has become smudged more than usual lately and naturally I immediately questioned: "Why is it always my window that gets pity streaks fogging up my view?" of course I don't have the answer and instead of whining about it I should just start cleaning the window. It really doesn't matter how or why my job is to get busy and make it possible to see the view again.
By the way when we got married Maggie said she was ok with the laundry but she didn't do windows.
much love to you always, pat&mag

Pat, we've missed your blogs. You always have something very profound and real to share. I'm sure it encourages Angela because it always encourages us!
I find myself praying for you this morning too. Ang, see what you've done?? You've brought all these people together that care about you and now they care about each other. Angela, that's what's remarkable about you.
Pat, I wish I could come Windex your windows. I hate to do windows too. My philosophy is to ignore the smudges and look way out to the VIEW! Yes, I know eventually you always have to deal with the smudges but until you are ready focus on the beautiful view and the smudges fade alittle.
Hope you and Ang have a restful Sunday!
Your unmet friend

To our unmet friend:
I am sending you this connection to a little bit of fluff from Australia that a friend sent me. I have shared this with Angie and others because I get a kick out of it. Kids like it too.
