Bob

He made me laugh when I thought I couldn't, he answered every cancer question in complete researched detail, he cheered me on and he is not a cheerleader, and he gave me hope when I really thought there was no point. Bob died yesterday in his sleep. His fight is over. I know that his pain is gone and I believe that he is at peace - hiking somewhere. I feel a little lost, but I will find my footing and my strength - his strength. Above is a picture of us at the Relay for Life. He picked the cancer shirt I was to wear that night....like peas in a pod. He will be missed, but not forgotten. Ang

Bob, what a fine person? I'm so glad that he was there to show a heroic way to take on what life can give. Big shoulders! My heart goes out to you Angie and to his family.

His support to you must have been special as you entered the new world of being a cancer patient.I remember when you were having a hard time in your treatment and you mentioned how he had supported you and reassured you, with the understanding of someone who had been there and done that and had the 't' shirt to prove it. From far off it sounded like "tough love". You are in a war with the disease and one of your fellow soldiers has fallen, and just like our young soldiers in the middle east you will close ranks and continue to fight. All of us are your comrades in arms against your enemy and we mourn the loss of your fellow fighter. Be strengthened with our love and support, we are here and we all love you. pat&mag
